- Series 8's were found in Argos stores, several days before official release.
- The special figures are gold, for the sixth series in a row.
- Several silver Series 8 Moshlings appeared in the The Great Moshling Egg tin.
- Series 8 features sixteen figures, the fourth series to do so.
- Series 8 was the first first sixteen-figured series to have only Moshlings.
