Marooned five bios

The Gooey Galleon Gang, also referred to as the Marooned Five, are a group of Ghost Pirates on board their ship, the Gooey Galleon.

They debuted in Season 2 Mission 5 where, in order to receive their steering wheel for the Rhapsody 2, Super Moshi has to dive within the waters below to retrieve it after it was thrown overboard. They have been "CURSED" ever since they locked up Tingaling.

In Lost in Hong Bong they allow you to sail with them to Hong Bong island in search of Cap'n Buck. (You just need to get Mavis to feel like it.)

In Season 3 Mission 4 they face off against Commander Sassafras and Squid Vicious.

During the Pirate Takeover they are scattered over Monstrosity minding their own business. They are also available in Daily Prize Quests

The Marooned Five received figures due to "their popularity" in-game via treasure chest storage tubs, containing all five members, but one random member is gold. A black and gold chest was exclusive to Toys R Us, and all five members were gold.

Fiction[]

The Gooey Galleon Gang are a gang of troublesome ghost pirates. They are rash, brash and irresponsible. They are heavy drinkers and steal for the heck of it.

Inside the Hull, there is most prominently a bed Ghosts do not need as they do not sleep which according to ZoinksSpooktacular Spectacular They are shown to nip whatever they can grab without it necessarily having any worth to them. Recognizable assets are High Pants Production crates from Simon Growl's mansion, snow-filled tree trunks from Mount Sillimanjaro with snacks and a surfboard with Peppy's logo on it and several Hoodoo drums from Hoodoo Central. The second time on their boat, they hung up a poster for Cirque du BonBon.

Design[]

Each member wears redundant aids in what seems to be a desperate attempt to remain looking like their original pirate selves, in which their aids might also have been redundant; faking it is the norm in Moshi Monsters.

  • Codswallop wears fingered gloves that he cannot fill correctly. His skeleton, which he keeps in the closet, is shown to have fingers and holds a banjo. When trying to take off the skeleton's boots, Codswallop stops you as he does not want cold feet. This implies he has a connection with his remains still or a need to act like he does. When interacting further with the skeleton he claims to have been a handsome nipper. He applies seaweed to his face to look like facial hair. It could be a habit or something he does to make up for having lost his previous beard.
  • Handy wears hooks while no longer having his hand injuries in which both his hands supposed got gnawed off by sharks when he was doing the dishes in the ocean. The hooks have proven to be handy for fishing stuff out of the water.
  • Mushy Peas has a peg leg attached to his body while as a ghost he floats and he is missing his other leg as well.
  • McScruff has a fear for drowning and wears arm floaties but as a ghost he can descend underwater without a need to breath.

Trivia[]

  • Although Ghosts being a subspecies, the Marooned Five describe themselves as Moshi Pirates, meaning they are deceased Moshi Monsters.
  • "Marooned Five" is a pun on marooned + Maroon 5, an American pop rock band.
  • Although they count themselves as five, Mavis is part of the group, making her the sixth member.
